Automatised on-line SPE-chiral LC-MS/MS method for the enantiomeric determination of main fluoroquinolones and their metabolites in environmental water samples

Fluoroquinolones are antibiotics of significant environmental concern their extended use not only in human medicine but also veterinary and as therapeutic agents to promote livestock growth aquaculture. Some fluoroquinolones metabolites chiral compounds. Therefore, for a proper risk assessment, enantioselective analytical methods required. In this work, an method has been developed validated the first time automatised determination wastewater surface water samples. Target were selected by considering (ciprofloxacin ofloxacin) (flumequine) medicine. The was based on on-line solid-phase extraction-chiral liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. Analysis, including sample extraction LC-MS/MS determination, carried out just 14 min. its application effluent influent wastewater. Accuracy values range from 61.4 122 % 73.4 119 water. Precision, expressed relative standard deviation, lower than 13.6 all compounds matrices.
